Connect PayPal & Wise for payouts

Pay partners who chose PayPal or Wise in one click, straight from your own account.

Partners pick how they get paid: Stripe, PayPal, Wise, or bank transfer. Stripe payouts run through Partli. For PayPal and Wise partners you can either export a batch file and pay it yourself, or connect your own PayPal or Wise account so Partli sends those payouts for you, in one click from Payouts or automatically on your payout schedule.

Money never passes through Partli

Connected payouts are paid from your PayPal or Wise balance. Partli only tells PayPal or Wise whom to pay and how much, then marks the commissions paid once the payment clears. Only the workspace owner can connect an account, and credentials are stored encrypted.

PayPal

You need a PayPal business account with the Payouts feature available.

    Create a REST app

    Sign in at developer.paypal.com with your business account. Open Apps & Credentials, make sure the Live toggle is on (or Sandbox for testing), and click Create App.

    Enable Payouts

    In the app's features, tick Payouts and save. If PayPal says Payouts isn't available for your account yet, request access from PayPal first; live Payouts needs approval on some accounts.

    Copy the credentials into Partli

    Copy the app's Client ID and Secret. In Partli go to Payouts → PayPal & Wise accounts → PayPal → Connect, paste both, and click Connect. Partli checks them with PayPal before saving.

    Keep your PayPal balance funded

    Payouts are drawn from your PayPal balance. PayPal charges its own Payouts fees to your account; Partli adds nothing.

Wise

You need a Wise business account with a balance in the currency you pay in.

    Create an API token

    In Wise, open Settings and find API tokens (under Integrations and tools or Developer tools, depending on your account). Create a token with Full access. Wise asks you to confirm with two-factor authentication.

    Paste it into Partli

    In Partli go to Payouts → PayPal & Wise accounts → Wise → Connect and paste the token. Optionally enter the balance currency to pay from (for example GBP); otherwise Partli pays from the payout's own currency.

    Approve transfers if Wise asks

    Partli creates each transfer to the partner's Wise email and tries to fund it from your balance. For UK and EEA accounts, Wise usually requires you to approve API transfers in the Wise app or website. Those payouts show as awaiting approval in Partli and are marked paid automatically once you approve them and Wise sends the money.

Paying partners

Once connected, the Owed to PayPal / Wise partners list on the Payouts page shows a Send via PayPal or Send via Wise button. Scheduled payouts also send them automatically. While a payment is in flight its commissions are held so they can't be paid twice; if PayPal or Wise reports a failure, they're released to pay again. AI agents can do the same with the send_connected_payouts tool.

Testing with sandbox credentials

Tick Sandbox (test) credentials when connecting to use a PayPal sandbox app or a Wise sandbox token (from sandbox.transferwise.tech). No real money moves; disconnect and connect live credentials when you're done.

Disconnecting

Click Disconnect next to the account. Partli deletes the stored credentials, and PayPal/Wise partners go back to batch-file export. You can also revoke the app or token on the PayPal or Wise side at any time.
